The reason why the NWU wishes to offer the course is to meet the ever increasing demand for Excel skills.

Purpose of the course:

This short course aims to equip participants with MS Excel skills to apply in various settings.

Assessment Criteria

  After completion of this course, participants will: Participant will be assessed on the following criteria:
 
  1. Create a worksheet;
  2. Manipulate data ranges;
  3. Do calculations;
  4. Create charts
  1. create a worksheet by entering and formatting data in cells;
  2. insert, delete, copy, rotate and address data ranges;
  3. select and apply applicable basic Excel formulas and functions; and
  4. select, create and add applicable charts to a worksheet.

Method of assessment: 
Learning objectives will be accomplished through the successful completion of assignments and participation in short course activities, proving insight into the topics at hand.
