Purpose of the course:

On completion of the short course, the participants should be able to understand themselves within the context of the company and know the future backwards. They should understand engagement and the impact it has on Harmony’s results and enforce a self-awareness that all actions start with ‘me’. They will learn to become accountable in getting people engaged and committed towards shared goals

Learning assumed to be in place: 
The programme will be in a series format and must be done in sequence. The learner will not be exempted from attending one or more of the modules in the programme. The learning assumed to be in place is only a guide in order to help the learner cope with the unit standards in the qualification. The following is the learning assumed to be in place: Learners who register for this qualification can: Learn from predominantly written material. Communicate what they have learnt comprehensively in the medium of instruction. Learn and take responsibility for their own progress. Communication at NQF Level 3. Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3. Computer Literacy at NQF Level 3, or the equivalent thereof

Method of assessment: 
The assessment framework of the Harmony Programme in Leadership Excellence (HPlE) is built around the following: • Self assessment to embed the learning matter. • Populating a Workbook through group discussions and personal reflection. • Peer-to-peer assessment is conducted in the contact sessions and is facilitated by the facilitator. Reflection is done to ensure an understanding of the knowledge areas that are covered. • An integrated Personal Development and Business Impact Application integrating all the learning outcomes in an implementable plan should be developed and is called the following: “The Process of Influence”. Please discuss the steps in the process presented in Module 4: The Influential Coach.” The candidates must show how they have used other key learning areas from all six modules when implementing The Process of Influence. Also, examples of practical activities that will be conducted with the team members in this process must be included. It must be indicated how this will improve employee engagement at the following levels: o Individual (ME). o Team (OTHERS). o Division (WORLD). o Please ensure that you have dealt with the different concepts discussed in the HCLE. These should include, but not restricted to, the following: o Knowing myself. o Goals and objectives. o Organisational change. o Leadership. o Coaching. o Performance. o Empowerment. o Teams.
