The teaching of needed skills to community-based paralegals and paralegals in the employment of Legal Aid South Africa to assist in affordable access to justice for communities.

  After completion of this course, participants will: Participant will be assessed on the following criteria:
   On completion of this module, the learner should be able to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the discussed aspects of the Children‘s Act. At the end of the module the learner will be expected, within the context of a class situation, to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the discussed aspects of the Children‘s Act.
  On completion of this module, the learner should be able to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the discussed aspects of dispute resolution At the end of the module the learner will be expected, within the context of a class situation, to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the discussed aspects of dispute resolution.
 

On completion of this module, the learner should be able to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the law relating to contracts.

At the end of the module, students will be expected to demonstrate the ability to apply the law relating to contracts to a given set of facts.
 

On completion of this module, the learner should be able to demonstrate a well-rounded and systematic knowledge base of the law relating to consumer protection in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.

At the end of the module, students will be expected to demonstrate the ability to apply the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act to a given set of facts
