  After completion of this course, participants will: Participant will be assessed on the following criteria:

(INYM 121): Computer Applications and Packages: Proposed NQF Level 6 (Proposed 2 Credits)

 

On completion of this module the student will be able to:

  • Apply advanced worksheets formatting options;
  • Use logical, statistical, financial and mathematical operations functions;
  • Create charts and apply advanced chart formatting features;
  • Work with tables and lists to analyse, filter and sort data. Create and use scenarios;
  • Validate and audit spread sheet data;
  • Enhance productivity by working with named cell ranges, macros and templates;
  • Use linking, embedding and importing features to integrate data;
  • Apply spread sheet security features;
  • Create and use macros;
  • Combine and compare large sets of data in a spread sheet
  1. Furthermore, the student should also be able to demonstrate the manipulation of spread sheets through the application of knowledge of tables, calculations, transfer of data between different applications, functions and graphic representations
